Swing Unlimited Big Band have staged a free Highcliffe Castle concert on the first Sunday of September every year for nearly 20 years (only being rained off once) and it is been a great event.

Sadly,BCP, who run the castle are no longer able to offer us the grounds, volunteers and facilities free of charge. That is quite understandable but it means that as a band we would have to fund the entire event ourselves. Although we appealed to the audience every year to give generously to our bucket collections,  we have never collected more than £1000, which means that we simply cannot afford to run this concert again as a free event

The only way that Highcliffe Castle can charge for an event is to hold it after 6 PM when the grounds are no longer open to the public. Hence we are forced to move to an early evening event but we have kept the prices to a minimum, just £16 with early bird of £12.

This will be a wonderful evening and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible for SUBB at Sunset.
